Advertising and responsibility
This page explains what ad links are, how the comparison is ordered, which sellers are included, who is responsible for what and what data the site stores.
Ad links
Some of the links to sellers' websites are ad links. They are marked in the table with the words ad link. If you sign a contract through such a link, the site receives a commission from the seller. The contract costs you the same as it does on the seller's own website.
Ad links do not affect the comparison. Prices are collected automatically from the sellers' own websites, whether or not the company is a partner. The tables are ordered by price as described below. We do not change prices, order or markings in favour of partners, and we do not leave companies out because they are not partners.
A contract made through an ad link supports the upkeep of the site. The site has no other sources of income, no visible advertising and no paywall.
If your browser or network blocks the ad network, the link takes you straight to the seller's own website.
How the comparison is ordered
The order is based on price. The fixed-term, spot and consumption-impact tables show one contract per company, the company's cheapest. In the open-ended tables a company can have several contracts. Rows are ordered by energy price (c/kWh) from cheapest to most expensive, and when the price is equal, the monthly fee decides. On the Price lock tab each lock period is a row of its own, and the rows are ordered first by the period's start date and then by price. In the spot table the energy price is the seller's margin. Campaign prices and the effect of campaigns on the monthly fee are calculated as averages over the contract period.
The total price columns are an estimate at the annual consumption you choose: the energy price multiplied by consumption, plus the monthly fees over the contract period. For spot contracts the moving average spot price is added to the energy price. Changing the consumption changes the figures in the columns and the Cheapest marking, but not the order of the rows. In the spot table, choosing the period length or free months re-orders the rows by the price over the chosen period.
Which sellers are included
Prices are collected from the sellers' own websites.
Contracts sold only within the seller's own network area are not included. The comparison may not cover every seller or contract on the market.
Responsibility
Sähkövertailu does not sell electricity and is not a party to the contract. A contract is always made between you and the electricity seller, on the seller's own terms. Prices are collected automatically from the sellers' websites. They may change before the next check and may contain errors. Check the price and contract terms with the seller before signing. We are not responsible for the information on the sellers' websites or for the contracts made.

Privacy and cookies
The site sets no tracking cookies. Visitor numbers are measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics and Vercel Web Analytics, which do not use cookies.
Your settings, such as collapsed tables, the spot table filters, your own comparison contract, your consumption profile and the order of the sections, are stored only in your own browser (localStorage).
When you point at or click an ad link, your browser first checks that it can reach the ad network (without cookies) and then goes through Adtraction to the seller's website. Adtraction and the seller may set their own cookies to attribute the contract, and their own privacy policies apply.
