About this service

This is a free service with a simple mission: to help you find the cheapest possible electricity contract.

What the service does

The service compares the public contract prices of Finnish electricity suppliers: fixed-price contracts (6, 12, 18 and 24 months), spot-price contracts and consumption-impact contracts (where the realized price depends on when you use electricity) in one place. The tables calculate the total cost for different annual consumption levels, because the energy price alone doesn't tell the whole story — differences in monthly fees can make a different supplier the cheapest at low and high consumption.

The ranking is always based on price: campaign prices (such as free first months) are averaged over the contract term so that offers stay comparable.

Who and when

The site went online on 6 July 2026 and officially opened to the public on 20 July 2026. It is maintained under the handle Xepster and is actively developed.

Where the data comes from and how often it updates

Prices are collected automatically from the suppliers' own websites at least twice a day, morning and evening. After every collection run the ”Prices verified” timestamp at the top of the page updates, so you can always see when the data was last confirmed.

Realized spot prices come from the open sahkotin.fi API (Nord Pool market data).
